Cary Patrick is the grandson of Patrick’s Hardware’s founder, W.T. Patrick. Cary grew up in Hampton, VA and graduated from Washington & Lee. Cary began with Patrick’s Hardware in 1976 and after nearly 20 years, Cary started the idea of Patrick’s Glass in the back room of the hardware store. In 1995 and after glass had officially outgrown the hardware store, Cary moved Patrick’s Glass to a separate location at 539 N. Armistead Avenue. Cary is still involved in the business, but spends most of his time these days running the day to day of Patrick’s Hardware & Paint.
